Whether you’re just beginning your career or are fully licensed and seeking additional growth, Firelight Supervision provides the support and guidance you need. We plan to offer online clinical supervision and consultation throughout Utah to help you meet state licensure requirements, strengthen your clinical skills, and continue developing as an ethical and confident mental health professional.
Our mission is to provide better access to consultation and supervision to mental health professionals throughout all areas of Utah. We’re here to help you navigate the supervision process and feel supported every step of the way.
And how does it help you? Whether you’re provisionally licensed or fully licensed and pursuing continued development, clinical supervision helps therapists in Utah stay grounded and confident in their work. In clinical supervision in Utah, you can expect support with:
Our clinical supervisors focus on transference and countertransference, burnout prevention, and self-reflection so you can grow into the best version of yourself as a therapist.
Every state has unique supervision requirements, and Utah is no exception. Whether you’re working toward your LCSW, LMFT or LCMHC license, you’ll need to understand who can supervise you, how many hours are required, and what documentation is needed for the Utah Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL). We support Utah professionals at every stage of licensure from Certified Social Workers (CSWs) and Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselors (ACMHCs) to fully licensed clinicians seeking consultation and advanced growth.
In Utah, LCSW candidates (CSWs) can be supervised by approved supervisors that are LCSWs, LCMHCs, or LMFTs, or other approved licensed professionals.
To become a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in Utah, ACHMCs can be supervised by approved supervisors that are LCMHCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, or other approved licensed professionals.
In Utah, Marriage and Family Therapist candidates (MFTC) can be supervised by LCMHCs, LCSWs, LMFTs who are approved supervisors, in addition to other approved licensed professionals.
We offer online group supervision for provisionally licensed ACMHCs and CSWs in Utah to help you meet licensure requirements while building skills and confidence. Our small, virtual supervision groups provide a supportive space to discuss clinical work, explore ethical issues, and learn from peers who are navigating similar experiences. Group supervision sessions are led by a qualified clinical supervisor and are designed to encourage growth and reflection as you work toward independent licensure.
For independently licensed clinicians (LCSWs, LCMHCs, LMFTs), we offer group consultation designed to provide professional support and continued growth. Our consultation groups create a collaborative space for therapists to reflect on cases, explore professional challenges, and strengthen their confidence and clinical judgment. These groups are online to make consultation for busy schedules easy, and are accessible throughout Utah even if you live in a rural area.

We pride ourselves on the expertise our clinical supervisors offer and can provide for you. Our supervision and consultation offers training on professional development, a variety of specialty topics, and skills improvement to help you grow. Here are some of the topics we can support you with:
