Whether you are beginning your work as a clinician or still advancing toward full licensure, clinical supervision is essential to your professional growth. At Firelight Supervision, we offer accessible, supportive, and high-quality supervision and consultation services designed to help mental health professionals. We want to help you develop your confidence voice, strengthen your skills, and meet the requirements outlined by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists and the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers.
We are committed to providing culturally responsive, ethical, and grounded supervision that supports you wherever you are in your professional journey.
And how does it help you? Whether you’re provisionally licensed or fully licensed, clinical supervision offers a dedicated space for learning, reflection, and furthering your professional development. With clinical supervision in Oregon, you can expect support with:
Supervision offers you a space to bring your questions, uncertainties, and clinical challenges without judgment. Engaging in dedicated guidance and thoughtful reflection allows you to lay the foundation for long-term success and professional growth in your career.
Every state has its own supervision requirements and Oregon is no exception. Whether you’re pursuing licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT it’s important to understand the supervision hours, supervisor qualifications, and documentation needed for your desired license in Oregon.
We support Oregon clinicians at various stages, including Professional Counselor Associates, Marriage and Family Therapist Associates, and Clinical Social Work Associates (CSWA).
If you are a Professional Counselor Associate pursuing licensure as an LPC, Oregon requires at least 3 years of supervised experience, including 1,900 direct hours, weekly supervision, and an approved supervision plan. Associates may receive face-to-face or telesupervision, with group supervision limited to no more than six supervisees, and obtain at least 50% individual supervision of total supervision hours.
If you are a Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA), Oregon requires 3,500 supervised hours, including 2,000 direct hours and 100 hours of supervision, at least 50 of which must be individual, in a minimum of 24 months. CSWAs must maintain an updated supervision plan with the Board and submit regular supervision reports.
If you are a Registered Associate pursuing LMFT licensure, Oregon requires 1,900 direct hours, of which 750 hours must be with couples and families, in a minimum of 3 years. You must obtain at least twice monthly clinical supervision, either in-person or virtual, and at least 50% of supervision hours must be individual, but group supervision with up to six supervisees per group can also count.
For provisionally licensed clinicians in Oregon such as Registered Associates and CSWAs we offer virtual group supervision that helps you meet licensure requirements while fostering meaningful professional connection. Our online group supervision provides space to explore clinical work, discuss challenges, receive feedback, and grow alongside other emerging clinicians. These groups are facilitated by one of our qualified clinical supervisors.
For independently licensed clinicians in Oregon, we offer online group consultation to support ongoing professional development and case reflection. These consultation groups create opportunities to strengthen your clinical judgment, expand your skills, and connect with other clinicians in a collaborative online space. Topics may vary by group and are shaped by participant needs and supervisory expertise.

We pride ourselves on the expertise our clinical supervisors offer and can provide for you. Our experienced supervisors can support you across a range of clinical areas including:
