Title: Approved Clinical Supervisor
Pronouns: he/him
Who I Work Best With:
If you are a provisionally licensed therapist seeking clinical supervision hours, I can offer you the education, support and growth that you deserve. If you are a licensed therapist working in an agency, private practice, residential or hospital setting and are not receiving the support and consultation that you need in order to grow, I can provide you with group or individual support. And I also work with clinical supervisors who have interns or supervisees and are looking for support for your own clinical supervision.
Our clinical consultation and collaboration can help you excel in your field as the best therapist you can be. And if you are a therapist feeling burnt out due to vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue, together we can work on burnout prevention and getting you revitalized for the hard work you do everyday. Even more advanced therapists and clinical supervisors aren’t immune to burnout.
As counselors and social workers, we work in a very hazardous profession, one that can put immense strain on our personal and professional well-being and personal relationships. I truly believe that strong supervision is critical to the development of healthy, skilled and motivated therapists. I also believe that ongoing clinical consultation and supervision of your supervision is integral to maintaining a sustainable career in the field.
I offer individual supervision, group supervision, individual consultation, group consultation and, for clinical supervisors, supervision of your supervision. The model of supervision and consultation in our field lets us provide and receive support in a way that allows healing when feeling burnt out while still challenging and empowering growth. Whether you’re just starting out in the field or a new clinical supervisor, I want you to be able to provide the best possible care to your clients and supervisees.
I am licensed and approved to provide clinical supervision in Colorado and Pennsylvania.
I will work with you from an integrated model perspective, blending tenets from the professional development model with an insight-based, self-as-therapist, psychodynamic approach. As we work to help you develop as a therapist and gain new skills and confidence, we will also work to identify how your own history impacts your work as a therapist, how your experience relates to how you define successful and positive change, and how cultural factors can change the dynamics of therapy between each individual client.
Finally, I believe that all great supervision begins with the relationship between supervisor and therapist. I hope to get to know you in a way that allows me to support you and your work with clients that works best for you.
While I am not versed in ALL skills and techniques, I feel my approach allows me to work successfully with therapists of all orientations, while helping to seek out training in specific skill sets when indicated.

Supervision Training and Experience:
My clinical experience includes work in a Community Mental Health Center, residential settings for children, adolescents and adults, Hospital Emergency Rooms, and private practice. I have worked with various populations that have included adults with severe and persistent mental illness, children and adolescents in residential settings, and seniors residing in assisted living or nursing homes. I also have experience with individuals having mental health crises due to suicidal thoughts or attempts, psychosis, mania, or substance-related concerns. The bulk of my recent experience has been in crisis intervention, evaluation and assessment.
My supervision experience includes work as a Program Coordinator for three residential treatment facilities serving adults with severe mental illness, as an Internship Program Manager for master’s level Counseling and Social Work students, as well as an international trainer of Social Workers and Counselors through the United States Peace Corps. I have also completed the Approved Clinical Supervisor 45-hour training and credential through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), as well as six hours of supervision training through the NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals. I am an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).
Providing clinical supervision to master’s level students and interns is a particular passion of mine. I provide supervision of your supervision if you are a clinical supervisor looking to start an internship program or take on supervisees. As an Internship Coordinator both currently and in the past, I have developed strong internship and training programs and I enjoy helping you do this too.
Together, we will have intelligent discussions about your cases, your professional orientation, how you show up as a therapist and clinical supervisor, and primarily how you can prevent burnout. I am laid back in my approach and am empowering to you as a therapist.
