Credentials: LCSW
Title: Clinical Supervisor
Pronouns: she/her
Who I Work Best With:
As a provisionally licensed or licensed therapist who works with young children and families, you feel like you could use more clinical support. Perhaps you work in a setting with little to no supervision and you’re seeking case consultation for working with your clients. Maybe your job is at an elementary or preschool setting, and you are curious about what is behind children’s behaviors. Possibly, you are interested in including more dyadic/family work into your clinical practice and are pursuing additional training or consultation. You may even be an early childhood mental health professional who would benefit from reflective supervision or consultation.
I can provide education, supervision hours, and clinical guidance to support your work. Supporting children and families can be so difficult yet so rewarding. There are few clinical supervisors who have this type of training and experience, so it can be hard to find a good-fit supervisor who shares the same passion that you do. I find great joy in working with children, families, and adults around family dynamics, parenting, neurodivergence, and mental health concerns, and I know that you can too if you’re provided with the right kind of support and supervision.
The relationships and experiences we encounter as young children inform our development and how we navigate our world. It is essential to emotionally support children by seeing, hearing, and understanding them. Caregivers such as parents, family members, teachers, and therapists play a major role in nurturing children’s mental health and benefit from support as well. Together, our work with children can move towards a more compassionate and inclusive community.
I offer individual clinical supervision, group clinical supervision, individual consultation, and group consultation, all centering around supporting your clinical work with children and families. Reflective supervision might be a fit for you if you are a professional working with young children and/or families with young children. I am licensed and able to provide supervision in Colorado to provisionally licensed social workers and counselors.
If you are looking for a supervision experience built upon trust and collaboration, while encouraging an open dialogue, I would be a good fit working with you. Supervision sessions with me might include; presenting cases, discussing theoretical approaches, identifying interventions, creating plans, and discussing recommendations.
I approach supervision using the RIOS (Reflective Interaction Observation Scale) framework. The framework is built upon the reflective alliance, in that establishing and maintaining the relationship between supervisee and supervisor is the most important aspect. Within the reflective alliance are the essential elements and the collaborative tasks. The essential elements consist of understanding the family/client’s story, holding the client in mind, professional use of self, and parallel process. The collaborative tasks entail describing, responding, exploring, linking, and integrating. Together, we will use these components to guide growth and development and provide care for your clients while developing yourself as a professional in the field.

Supervision Training and Experience:
I have worked in many different settings including community mental health agencies, a family resource center, school settings, and private practice. I have experience as a clinical supervisor, a reflective supervisor/consultant, an individual and family therapist, early childhood mental health consultant, and a home visitor. I have over 5 years of experience supervising a diverse set of professionals including provisionally licensed therapists, licensed therapists, early childhood mental health consultants, home visitors, case managers, and interns. I am an endorsed reflective supervisor through CoAHIM for early childhood mental health professionals and am working towards becoming an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).
I have a special interest in neurodivergence and continue to learn more about this topic through training, books, and advocacy. This special interest is fueled from raising a twice-exceptional child who is at the root of my continued passion in work with children and those that support them.
