Title: Clinical Supervisor
Who I Work Best With:
You have some life experience that is driving you to become a top-notch therapist. Or, you may be on your second career, and are looking to find out what area of practice would be the best fit for you. You’re wanting to find your confidence in your clinical skills while still realizing that you have a lot to learn. You do not need a lot of structure, you have a lot of strengths, and want to highlight them in the clinical work that you do.
Identifying and finding your niche/population of who you work best with is part of your professional development process that I can help you with. I will also work with you to translate your knowledge from your life experience into your clinical practice. Through culturally-competent supervision or consultation, I will support you in your work with diverse populations, drawing from your own experiences.
You might be in private practice, working for an agency, hospital, or non-profit, or in another community setting in which you’re not getting the clinical support you need or want. I’ve worked in all these settings, including emergency departments, nursing homes, community mental health, and even doing community social work in a library setting.
I provide individual supervision, group supervision, individual consultation, and group consultation. If you are an intermediate to advanced level clinician or have transferable life experience, I would enjoy working with you.
